Cooperative Education

PGA Golf Management students have a unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience working for some of the most successful PGA members and facilities / oranizations in the world. Students will complete three (3) internships varying in length from 3 months to 7 months. During this time, studetns will be exposed to many aspects of the golf industry within the pillars of golf operations, teaching and coaching, and executive management. This is truly one of the most exciting aspects of the PGA Golf Management program!

Students must complete a minimum of 16 months of cooperative work experience through the University's Cooperative Education department. Students will work with staff to identify potential employment opportunities and prepare for interviews either on campus, on site at the facility, or via phone / video call. In addition, students must maintain a minimum, cummulative 2.25 GPA to earn credit for their work experience.

The Mississippi State PGA Golf Management program has placed students at over 1,300 golf facilities and organizations worldwide since 1985. We have over 750 graduates of the program, many of which still maintain connection with the program and have an active internship program.
