The Mississippi State PGA Golf Management program partners with the industry leader for tournament software programming, Golf Genius. Golf Genius provides us with an online tournament solution offering live scoring for events, tournament registration, statistical analysis and more. Family members are able to follow along as their favorite PGA Golf Management student competes for a number of championships on campus! We were the first PGA Golf Management university to partner with Golf Genius and continue to use their software each semester.
Each Semester, the PGA Golf Management program and the Student Association conduct series of tournaments consisting of: three major championships (36-hole events), several Sunday Games (18-hole tournaments), semester long match plays, and inter-collegiate events. Tournament participants earn semester player of the year points based on their finish in each event. The student with the most points at the end of the semester, both men and women, win the prestigous Rod Perry Player of the Semester Award.
